EI-Preschool Conference


 2018 Early Intervention-Preschool Conference

in Birmingham, Alabama

October 15-17, 2018

The Early Intervention and Preschool Conference is a 2.5 day event designed to share information and develop skill for professionals and families who work with children with disabilities (ages birth to five).  Keynote and concurrent sessions are planned each year based on needs surveys, suggestions from previous conferences, and national/state priorities.

The conference is a collaborative effort between multiple state and local agencies.  Sponsors, planners and collaborators include:

  • Alabama Department of Early Childhood Education
  • Alabama Department of Education/Special Education Services
  • Alabama Department of Mental Health
  • Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services

  • Interagency Coordinating Council for AEIS

  • University of Alabama


Attendance ranges from 400-500 service providers and parents, and includes a broad range of professionals, including:
